Krania, built on the slopes of Kato Olympou, is a traditional settlement. Its name was taken from the tree "krania", which thrives in the area.
Although the village has suffered many disasters by both Turks and Germans, it retains many aspects of traditional culture and is preferred by many as a holiday destination during summer.
The beautiful view of the valley of Tempi and the sea, the traditional square with the big plane tree, the narrow streets and the Church of the Eisodion of Theotokos, built with chipped stone and with a carved ceiling, characterize the village.
